Dune du Pilat

Did you know that you do not need to travel far to Africa to see the desert dunes ? Dune can also be found here in Europe, particularly in France. Dune du Pila is the tallest in Europe and it is located approximately 60 kilometres from the Bordeaux region, on the coast of the Bay of Biscay in the heart of the Landes de Gascoigne forest. Dune du Pilat is the most visited tourist place in the whole region. Recreationally it is used for paragliding. You can climb the dune on the soft sand it is for free, but bear in mind, it can be very hot over there so don’t forget to wear a hat, and be sure you have a bottle of water with you. Gorges du Vernon 

The Gorges du Vernon in another natural wonder of France in the south-east. Its said to be the most beautiful in Europe. It´s located in the region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur and measures more than 25 kilometres. Vernon river has shaped thousands of years for more than 700 meters deep gorge. Today, thanks to the river forms, huge lake Sainte-Croix-du-Verdon was created. Lake Lac de Sainte-Croix has wonderful colours, clear water. Between the best Gorges du Vernon activities belong kayaking , boating and water bicycles while you are there. Try at least some of them. There are small villages governed by a picnic area, benches and ping pong tables, parking and cafeterias. You can enjoy a very memorable day over there.

The cliffs of Etretat

Etretat village in France is a cosy seaside village, which is famous for his unique natural cliffs. Here is located the most picturesque view in Europe. This place offers you beautiful scenery and is another pearl of France. Etretat boasts three natural rock arches, which can be admired during marked hiking trips. These reefs are also beloved by film-makers. The Impressionists were inspired by this beautiful coastline, including Claude Monet, you might be as well 🙂


Levander fields – Gordes Provence

Just a few kilometers from Gordes Provence (4 km) in a green valley are hiding Cistercian Abba ye de Sénanque, best known for its Romanesque architecture and the cultivation of lavender. One of the most photographed sites of French because of amazing purple lavender fields. The monks are producing lavender oil there. You can admire Abbey architecture with clean lines and also, in addition, you can see the levander fields and machined gardens.

Unique landscape, In South -France, where the river Rhone flows into the Mediterranean sea, is located in the area, which is called Camargue. La Camargue is a vast plain, which will contribute to the two branches of the Rhône and the Mediterranean Sea. Shallow lakes and marshes are typical to this area. Here is the home place of the typical Camargue animals like:
Camargue bulls and Camargue wild horses. If you are lucky here you can see a lot of pink Camargue flamingos as well. Simply amazing beautiful natural wonder.


Annecy lake

Annecy lake in France is the 2 largest in the country, and the cleanest in whole Europe. This lake boasts amazing sparkling water that is so clean that you might want to drink from it. But not sure if it is worth to try. Better no This place is the perfect place if you are looking for tranquillity, surrounded by mountains. In the summer months the water is warm enough to swim and once you get out on the lake, it will be very hard to resist. Hiring a pedal boat in is one of the biggest Annecy lake attractions, which costs around €9 and can be a great way to spend a day in the sun with friends, family and get a new view of Annecy from the water. It is also favourite spot for bike riders or walkers. If you want to ride a bike, do not worry this place is equipped with good cycling routes.
